The written test will be conducted via offline mode, which is on a OMR sheet and will only have multiple-choice questions.
The test will consist of 100 questions with a time duration of two hours.
Each question carries 1 mark with no negative marking on wrong answers.
A minimum score for 30 percent a candidate must secure to get qaulified for the physical test.

The selection process is based on three major tests which are as follows :
Written Test
Physical Standards for Police Constable
The efficiency will be based on the
Height :
- Unreserved or backward make candidate – minimum 165 cms
- SBC (male) : minimum 162 cms
- SC/ST male – minimum 160 cms
Chest (only for male )
- General/BC/SBC :
- Unexpanded: 81cms
- Expanded: 86cms
SC/ST/GORKHAS of India
- Unexpanded 79cms
- Expanded 84cms
PET ( physical efficiency test) of 100 marks :
This test is divided into three categories
Race completed within 5 minutes will be awarded 50 marks, completed within 5 min and 20 seconds will be given 40 marks . on every increasing 10 seconds 10 marks will be deducted.
If the candidate takes more than 6 minutes he will be disqualified.
For females: 1km.
If the race is completed within 4 minutes then 50 marks will be awarded and on every increasing 20 seconds, 10 marks will be deducted.
If the candidate takes more than 6 minutes to complete the race, she will be disqualified.
High jump 25 marks
For males: minimum 4 feet
More than 5ft is will be awarded 25 marks. 4.8 to 5ft will be awarded as 21 marks, less than that 17 and 13 marks
Below 4ft will be disqualified.
For females: minimum 3ft.
- 3ft to 3.4 ft: 13 marks
- 3.4 to 3.8 ft: 17 marks
- 3.8 to 4ft: 21 marks
- Below 3ft will be disqualified.
Shot put
For males: throw a 16-pound shot, below 16ft will be disqualified.
More than 20 ft will be awarded 25 marks.
For females
- Throw a 12-pound shot
- Below 10ft will be disqualified
- More than 16 ft will be awarded 25 marks
Medical test
Even if the candidates have cleared all the above tests, the third and the last test is the most important, and the must candidate must qualify this test to confirm the job.
Age-based: higher age group will be given the more preference
Educational qualification: the more qualifies person will be given the chance.
