BTSC Bihar JE Merit List 2020 Result: Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) is going to announce the result/merit list of the provisionally selected candidates for the post of Junior Engineer soon on their official website. The result will only be hosted on the official portal. No other mode will be applicable for the intimation of result/ merit list to the candidates. After the publication of BTSC JE merit list, selected candidates have to attend the counselling for verification of official documents and further selection procedure.

BTSC Bihar JE Merit List 2020
BTSC Bihar JE Result 2020 will be announced tentatively in the month of March 2020. Candidates will be intimated only through the official portal. No intimation through any other mode such as email, post (hard copy of result), newspaper will be sent to any candidate.
Merit list will be prepared purely on the basis of academic performance and work experience of the candidate. No separate exam has been conducted for the recruitment of candidates.
After the scrutiny of applications submitted by the applicants, Commission will prepare the merit list. The result/ selection list will indicate the names of the provisionally selected candidates.
The weightage applicable for preparation of Merit list is as follows-
- On the basis of diploma and equivalent qualification- 75 marks
- On the basis of experience/contractual employee – 25 marks
Candidates should also note that mere name in the merit list will not indicate that he/she has been finally selected for the post. Final selection is subject to counseling and other requirements as per the recruitment policy of the commission.
How to calculate your contractual year marks?
Now some candidates wanted to know that how their odd contractual will be calculated in marks.
Someone asked me if I had worked for 1 year and 5 months then how much marks will they give me.
For them we had given an example below:
Suppose that you had worked for 2 years and six months under the contractual basis, then the commission will calculate your marks as
For 2 years you will be awarded 2×5=10 marks
While for the six months first, they calculate the number of days of your six months, suppose you six month days is 180 then they will multiply these days with 5 and divide the resultant with 365.
180 x 5=900
900/365=2.46 marks
so total marks you will be granted for your contractual years is 12.4 marks or it could be considered as 12 only.

Candidates whose names will appear in the merit list will be invited for counseling. These candidates will be provisionally selected. They will be intimated about the date, time, venue and other details of the counseling through the official website, emails, and registered number.
