CMC Vellore: An Overview

Christian Medical College (CMC) is a medical college and a well-known institute to offer UG and PG medical courses. The college has already conducted the entrance examination successfully and now it has to release the result of the entrance exam.

CMC conducted the entrance exam for courses such as M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc Nursing whereas the admission in MBBS is purely based on the NEET score of the candidates. CMC has divided the entrance exam into two groups, Group A and Group B.

 In Group A UG courses like MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, BPT, B.Sc. MLT, BOT, B.Optom, B.Sc Medical Records Science, and B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy comes. In Group B PG course such as M.Sc. Biostatistics, M.Sc. Medical Physics, MPH (Master of Public Health), Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in MRT, Urology Technology, Anesthesia Tech, Hand & Leprosy Physiotherapy Tech & Dermatology Laboratory Tech, Diploma in Optometry, Prosthetics & Orthotics, PG Diploma in Dietetics and other comes.

CMC Vellore Nursing 2019 Result

CMC has released the result of UG course on 17^th May 2019. Those students who want to get admission in UG course in Vellore CMS have to qualify the entrance exam that has been conducted on 10 May.

This result will be available online for the students. The medical college will release the result in two steps – Step 1 result will be declared after the written test and Step 2 result will be released after the interview/special test. On 17^th May the college will release the step 2 result.

In the result of step 2, the name of those candidates will be published who have cleared the written exam and get selected for the second phase of the examination. Though the result of the entrance exam will be published on the website of CMC students will also get the intimation about their result through mail or speed post for further interview rounds.

How to Check Waitlist of CMC Vellore Nursing 2019

Along with the merit list, the medical college will also release a waiting list. Like the merit list, the applicants’ name will be positioned in the waiting list as the marks scored by them. This waiting list will be different than the merit list.

While offering the admission the college will give the preference to those students who have scored good marks and get a place in merit list but if in case the merit list candidate could not join the college then the preference will be given to waiting list applicants. In short, those candidates who get their name in the waiting list are among the qualified candidates but they will be given the least preference to offer admission in college.  

Candidates in the waiting list will get an offer of provisional admission by email from the college.  This offer will be sent only if any vacant seat arises. If the candidate is interested to grab the offered seat then he/she has to send a signed acceptance in writing or a scanned copy of it by email. If in case the candidate could not send the required documents within the prescribed time then the seat available for the candidate will get forfeited. After the announcement of the CMC Vellore Nursing 2019 result, the counseling process for the students will start.

Admission in CMC Vellore Nursing College 2019

Admission in CMC Vellore Nursing College will depend on the applicants’ score in written exam and interview. The admission will be offered on the basis of merit list. The result of the written exam will be available and special test & interviews will be held at Vellore campus as per the specified schedule.  To appear in the second step of examinations the applicants will have to register them by submitting the registration fee.

Registration for the admission in this medical college will start from 16th August 2019 for UG nursing. Candidates should reach the counseling venue along with their original and photocopied documents during admission.  Failure to reach to the counseling center on scheduled time and date will lead you to lose of the seat. The counseling center will have to different lists; merit and waiting and immediately the seat will be assigned to another person from the list.
