Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (CSK HPKV), is an agriculture university situated in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. CSK HPKV was formerly Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya. It is among the top emerging agriculture universities in the Hill region of India.
It came into existence on 1st November 1978 as an expansion of the existing College of Agriculture which was established in May 1966. The university mainly focuses on Hill agriculture. It is one of the leading agriculture universities in hilly regions that emerged as a torchbearer for the other universities.

It is accredited with Indian Council of Agricultural Council (ICAR) & National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and it is a certified institution by ISO 9001:2008.
The main campus of the university covers an area of 397 hectares. The area at Outstations of the university is 190 hectares that also includes Krishi Vigyan Kendras/ Agricultural Science Centres.

Presently, CSK HPKV has a total number of 1523 students (679 boys and 844 girls) enrolled in its various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. It offers total 43 programs which include 6 Bachelor degree programs, 22 Master degree programs, and 15 doctoral degree programs. Since its inception around 6593 students has passed out.

Palampur Agricultural University Results
CSK HPKV has a dedicated teaching and research staff of 249 teachers/scientists and 1107 of non-teachers. The university is very much engaged in research work and has released 155 improved varieties of various crops such as Paddy (23), Wheat (24), Barley (6), Maize (9), Pulses (24), Oilseeds (23), Sugarcane (1), Vegetables (29) etc.
University has total eight Krishi Vigyan Kendras located at Bajaura, Berthin, Dhaulakuan, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Kukumseri and Una. Constituent Colleges of the University
CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyala has four constituent colleges which ensure that each and every student enrolled in the university gets quality education on agriculture.

University Entrance and Admission Procedure
- University follows the semester
- The registration for admission into the university starts generally in the month of April-May.
- Foreign national and NRI candidates are also eligible for admission into the university.
- Students are granted admission into the university on the basis of registration, the entrance test for few courses, merit, and interview.
- Entrance test for admission into UG programs is conducted in the first week of June whereas for PG programs it is conducted in the second week of June.
- The classes and session start from the first week of July.
University Exams and Results
As university follows a dual semester system, the university conducts the exam and announce the results accordingly.
Exams
- The mid-term and end-term exams for both undergraduate and postgraduate program except B.V.Sc and A.H for the first semester are conducted in the month of October and December respectively.
- The mid-term and end-term exams for both undergraduate and postgraduate program except B.V.Sc and A.H for the second semester are conducted in the month of March and May respectively.
CSKHPKV Result 2018-19
- The collation of results for both first and second semester is done in January and June respectively.
- University declared the result of the first semester for all UG and PG programs in the first week of January and the result for the second semester is released in the last week of June.
- The result displayed through online mode include the name of the students, roll number, enrollment number, course/programs, semester, year, marks obtained, subjects, subject-wise marks, total marks, grades, result etc.
- University distributes the mark sheets of the students after the release of the result on its website. Students have to collect the mark sheets from the specified venue on the specified date and time.
