Himalayan University (HU) is a Private State University founded by Jean Foundation, New Delhi. Jean foundation is a Non-Profit organization that works in the field of education. One of the Directors of this foundation Mr. Hemant Kumar Goyal founded the University.
Himalayan Univesity was eventually founded in the year 2013 by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh as per Section 2(f) of University Grant Commission (UGC) Act 1956.
