Last year i.e. 2019, class IX result was announced in the month of April and total 4,00,876 students took the exam. Out of total students 3.58 lakh students were able to pass the exam and 42, 424 students were failed.

The overall pass percentage was 89.41%. In Ranchi, the pass percentage of girls was 94.3 % and the pass percentage of boys was 93.5%. The pass percentage of girls in the capital was more than boys. However, the overpass percentage of girls and boys are equal in the state.
