Karnataka Post GDS Application Fee
- For the make candidates from OC/ OBC and EWS category, the application fee is Rs. 100/- only.
- Female candidates and candidates from Pwd, SC, ST categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

The department releases a set of required eligibility for the applicant to apply for the available vacancies. In this eligibility criteria the department mention about the required minimum and maximum age of the applicant and educational details. The age of the applicant should be 18 and 40 years to apply for the GDS post as on 05.08.2019.

Karnataka Post GDS Educational Qualification
- Applicant must have passed 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India.
- The Candidate passed Xth class examination in the first attempt will be treated as meritorious against those passed compartmentally. So to apply for the vacant posts for Karnataka state the candidate must know the Kannada language in all three formats, reading, writing and speaking.
- The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard .
Applicants also need to have Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government or Private Institutions Organizations.
Along with the mentioned qualification, the applicant must know to ride the bicycle and two-wheelers to apply for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak. Karnataka GDS Recruitment Selection Procedure
Selection of the applicant for the post of GDS will be done on the basis of the automatically generated merit list. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of applicants’ marks scored in class 10th. The marks scored by the applicant in higher grades will not be entertained by the selection committee. So the criteria for selection will be the only marks obtained in 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
Those candidates, who get the marks in the form of grade as per the process of their board, will have to convert the grades into marks.
If two candidates get the same marks in class 10th then their selection will be done on the base of their Date Of Birth. The elder candidate will get the preference over the younger one in case of the same score in class 10th.
As per the rules released by the department for Karnataka Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2019 candidate can apply for a maximum of twenty posts as per cycle of online engagement.
Step 1: First of all the applicant will have to register them on the official portal of the Department of Post. Candidates can get their registration on https://indiapost.gov.in. or http://appost.in/gdsonline.

Step 3: After completing the registration process the applicant can log in online with their registration number.
