Challenging NEET Answer Keys

There is also a provision for challenging the provisional answer key released by the conducting authority. In case you find objection in any of the key you can submit objection challenge against that key(s). You will be given an opportunity to file challenges against the answer key on a payment of processing fee. You have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/- per challenge.

Those who wishes to challenge the answers keys should make the request within the time stipulated by the candidates. NTA will verify the challenges made by the candidates with the help of subject experts. If the challenge will be found correct it will be revised. On the basis of revision of answer keys, the final answer key will be prepared and released.

NTA will not inform any candidate about the acceptance or non-acceptance of his/her challenge. The answer key released after the revision of challenge will be final. No further, correspondence or request in this regards will be accepted.



How to challenge the Official NEET Answer Key?

The procedure to make challenge against the key is as follows-

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the link provided to challenge the keys.
  • Enter the login details such as Registration no. and Password.
  • Click on “key challenge” option and select the “Test Booklet code”
  • Select the questions and make the challenge.
  • Mark the answer you think is correct.
  • Click on submit button.
  • Make the payment of requisite fee.
  • Lastly, print the confirmation slip.

Calculation of marks using NEET 2020 Answer Key

You can calculate your marks with the help of the answer keys. You just have to match your answers with the official answers given in the key and allot marks as per the marking scheme.

You can take help from the marking scheme shared below-

  • For correct answer, 4 marks will be allotted.
  • For incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • No marks will be allotted or deducted for answered question or more than one response.

You have to mark the responses as per the aforementioned scheme. To calculate the final marks, you can use the given formula-

NEET 2020 score = 4 X No. of correct responses – 1 X No. of incorrect responses

NEET 2020- Display of OMR Response Sheet and Responses

Along with the answer key, NTA will also display the image of OMR sheets or responses of the candidates graded by the grading machine on its official website.

In case of any doubt related to the response sheet, candidates can submit representation against the OMR Grading with the payment of requisite processing fee. They have to make a payment of Rs.1000/- response challenged. However, no intimation will be sent to any candidate in this regard.



NTA will verify the representations from the actual record and will update the same in the data if challenges will be found correct.
