NEET Application Form 2020: National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 notification has been released now. NEET is the only national-level medical entrance exam conducted for the entry of medical aspirants in MBBS/BDS Courses in various government and private medical/dental colleges of India.  

UPDATE (16th March 2020)- NTA has re-opened the correction window for NEET applicants. Correction facility will be operational from 13th to 19th March 2020. Those who wish to make correction and can avail the facility before the due date. Check details below.

As per the recent decision made by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), NEET-UG will now be conducted only once in a year in offline mode i.e. pen & paper mode. It is compulsory to qualify NEET UG exam to get admission in medical/dental college in India except for AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

NTA NEET Application Form 2020

NEET 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on 3rd May 2020. Till 2018, NEET was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) but from 2019 onwards NEET-UG is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA will be limited to the conduction of exam and declaration of result. Counseling for 15% All India Quota seats will be conducted by Directorate General Health Services, Government of India on the basis of the AIR provided by NTA. The counseling for remaining 85% state quota seats will be conducted by the responsible state authorities.

NEET 2020 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for NTA NEET 2020 as of now are given below. In case of any changes, we will update the same here.

Nationality



  • Indian citizen, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Person of Indian Origin (PIOs), foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India are eligible for NTA NEET 2020.
  • J&K candidates are eligible for 15% All India Quota only if they submit a self-declaration
  • Aadhaar card is not mandatory for the application.

Age Criteria

  • Applicants must have completed age of 17 years.
  • The upper age limit for applicants is 25 years (30 years for SC/ST/ OBC and physically disabled candidates).

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants must have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as a compulsory subject.
  • Applicants must have scored minimum 50% (for general), 45% marks for PH and 40% for SC/ST candidates in PCB group in the qualifying exam.
  • Final year appearing candidates can also apply.

NTA NEET 2020 application form is available on the official website of NTA from 2nd December 2020. No, offline registration forms are available and therefore, candidates only have to register through the online mode.

Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the filled registration form to the NTA office. They can keep it safe with them for future references.

NTA NEET Application Fee

  • Applicants can make the payment of the application fee through credit card, debit card, net banking, e-wallet, and
  • The application fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.

NEET UG Exam Pattern

The Exam Pattern for NTA NEET 2020 is as follows-

  • NTA NEET 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode.
  • The total exam duration will be 3 hours (180 minutes).
  • Total 125 questions will be asked.
  • The question paper will be of 500 marks.
  • Questions paper will be consist of objective type questions.
  • The question paper will be the asked in Hindi, English, Marathi, Assamese, Oriya, Gujarati, Urdu, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages
  • 4 marks will be allotted for each correct response.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Admit Card 2020

NTA NEET 2020 Admit Card will be issued through the official website from 27th March 2020 onwards. No printed copy of admit cards will be sent to any candidate. Admit card is an important document that contains the details like name of the candidate, roll number, application number, exam date and time, exam center etc. It is compulsory for all the candidates to carry their admit cards to the exam center as a candidate without a valid admit card will not be allowed to write the exam.

NEET 2020 Result

NTA will release the NEET UG 2020 Result on 4th June 2020. Candidates have to check the result from the official website of NTA on the specified date. The result will be followed by the release of scorecards, cut off list, merit list.
