NEET PG Result 2020

With the release of the NEET PG Result 2020 the candidates who have taken the exam of 5th January 2020 will be able to check their status. The result will be having the information like the roll number of the candidate, marks obtained by the candidates out of 1200 and the qualifying status of the candidates.

Along with the result, the NBE will also release the merit list and the cut off marks for NEET PG Result 2020. The medical graduates were expecting the release of results in January only and the announcement of NBE has also confirmed that tomorrow the result will be released online. Further in this post, we have also mentioned the required steps to download the result of NEET 2020 from the official website of NBE. The result of individual candidates will be available in pdf format on the website.

Here look at the statistics of NEET PG result of the previous year. In 2018-19 a total of 1,43,148 candidates took the exam. Out of them only 79,633 candidates clear the examination and based on the number of applicants they get admission in different courses. According to NEET Result 2020, the qualified candidates will get admission in the following courses; Doctor of Medicine (MD):  19,953, Masters of Surgery (MS): 10,821, PG Diploma: 1979 and 1338.  Along with the result of NEET PG, the NBE will also release the cut off and NEET PG 2020 merit list. The NEET Merit list 2020 will also include All India Rank (AIR), category-wise rank, All India 50% Quota rank, category and roll number of eligible candidates.

The NEET PG Cut Off percentile for the General Category candidates is 50%, for SC/ST and OBC candidates it is 40% and for General PH candidates, the percentile is 45. The qualifies candidates will get admission through NEET PG 2020 result according to the following;

  • 50% All India Quota
  • 50% state quota seats
  • Deemed universities Central universities
  • ESIC and AFMS
  • Private institutions
  • DNB CET hospitals

To offer admission on 50% AIQ seats the qualified candidates will be called for counseling. The counseling will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Apart from AIQ counseling, NEET PG qualifies candidates will also be eligible to get the result on 50% state quota seats, deemed/central universities, ESIC, private institutes, AFMS and other medical colleges of India. The authorities will also release the PG scorecard online. Here are the steps that you need to follow to download the scorecard 2020;

  • To download the scorecard of NEET you will have to click on the link given at the bottom of this page.
  • To access the scorecard enter your login credentials such as user ID and Password.
  • Enter the submit button and NEET PG 2020 scorecard will appear on the screen.


  • You can download the scorecard and take its printout after verifying the details mentioned in it.

Validity Of NEET PG 2020 Result

It will be valid only for a certain period of time and candidates should know about it. According to the guidelines released by NBE, the NEET PG result will be valid for the next year. it means after the present academic year the validity of the result will get vanished and to get admission in the different course the candidates will have to appear in the NEET exam 2021 again.
