RRB/RRC Level 1 Admit Card 2020: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has yet to be announced the examination dates for RRC group D. But the news surfacing around that the RRB is going to conducts the RRC Group D examination in the month of June 2020 and the admit card for the same will be released soon on their official website. But any official notification regarding this is yet to be released. For the RRC level 1 recruitment exam, those candidates will need RRB group d level 1 admit card in order to appear exam. Candidates who will qualify the CBT will be selected for RRB group d PET (Physical Efficiency Test). RRC group d PET is the second stage of the selection procedure for Group D posts.

RRB level 1 stage 1 exam is likely to start from June 2020. Candidates who have been applied now have to appear in the CBT round. Ministry of Railways has decided that henceforth, all the selection procedures such as the conduct of PET, document verification, medical examination and other activities related to recruitment will be carried out by the Railway Recruitment Cells of the concerned Railway Zone.

There are lakhs of students who had applied for the RRC Group D 2019 Recruitment and it’s almost one year comes to an end when the RRB has published the online notification for it. All applicants are waiting for the Group D examination.

Earlier, the examination is scheduled on Sep/Oct 2019 and now the news from the official of the RRB is coming out that RRC 2019 examination is going to be held on March/April 2020.

Why there is so much delay in the RRC Group D examination?

Every single student who had applied for the RRC Group D examination wants to know when the exam is going to be held and why they are delaying it all the time? The main reason behind the delaying of the RRC Group D examination was the agency who usually conducts the examination of RRC is not going to conduct the examination this time.

And the reason behind this is that the discrepancies occur during the RRB JE examination. And to ensure a fair examination for the new recruitment RRB has conducted a meeting and invited the application for the new ECA (examination conducting authority) and to finalize the new ECA is still in the queue. There is more than 1 crore applicant who is awaiting the examination.

Last year total of 7 RRB and RRC announced the recruitment but the huge response was received for RRC group D posts this recruitment saw 1,15,67,248 applications against the 1,03,769 posts.

RRCs will publish the admit card or call letter for candidates to appear in CBT. All the provisionally candidates for CBT are advised to stay in touch with the respective RRC website as admit card links will be made available there. Once the admit card will be published, shortlisted candidates have to carry it to the venue on the day of test. Without a valid admit card, no candidate shall be permitted to enter the venue. RRC Level 1 admit card will consist of information such as candidates’ names, registration no., date of exam, time, venue, and necessary instructions. Candidates must download their admit card on time to avoid last-minute problems.

RRB Group D level 1 exam Venue

RRB exam venue will be notified to all the shortlisted candidates on their registered mobile numbers, email ID and also on the admit cards. There will be venue for all the RRCs.  CBT will be conducted in various phases on different dates depending on the number of candidates at every venue. Candidates must be present at the test venue at least 30 minutes before the reporting time.

Criteria for RRB/RRC Group D PET

PET is conducted to test the physical strength and efficiency of candidates. So, before appearing for PET exam candidates must ensure that they are fit for appearing in the physical exam. They can visit a physician for medical examination to know whether they are fit or not. RRB will not be responsible for any kind of injury caused to the candidates during PET.  

RRB has set some predefined criteria for Group D Physical Efficiency Test. All the provisional selected candidates have to meet the given criteria in order to qualify the PET round. However, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not required to appear in PET.

For Male Candidates



  • Male candidates should be able to lift and carry a weight of 35kg for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in a single chance without putting the weight down.
  • They must be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. 

For Female Candidates  

  • Female candidates should be able to carry and lift a weight of 20 kilograms for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in a single chance without putting the weight down.
  • They must be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
