SNEHER PARAS App @ wbdmd.gov.in: West Bengal Government has announced to provide financial assistance to the migrant workers of the state who are trapped in different parts of the country due to the lockdown. WB Migrant Worker Relief Scheme app To help them, the government has released a mobile application called “SNEHAR PARAS App” and using this mobile application they can apply for the assistance.
UPDATE: SNEHER PARAS App scheme is currently active. This scheme will be effective from 20th April to 3rd May 2020. Eligible migrant workers can apply through the App. Download the app from the link given below.

Amidst the global emergency COVID-19, the entire country is under lockdown. As a result of this lockdown, a huge number of daily-wage earners, labourers and workers who have migrated to other states are stranded there. This has seriously affected their livelihood as they do not have enough money. In order to provide some assistance to these stranded workers in different parts of the country, the WB government decided to launch a scheme called- SNEHER PARAS.
Under this scheme, the beneficiaries will be provided an assistance of Rs.1000/- from the government. To avail the benefit, workers have to download the mobile application and register on it.

West Bengal Corona Sahayat App Eligibility
Those who wish to get the benefit of this scheme must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed in official notice. Applicants should follow the following conditions-
- Any worker of the state who is stranded outside due to the lockdown.
- The worker should be a resident of West Bengal.
- Worker of the state trapped in other state and cannot travel back to the state due to suspension of transportation facility.
- Applicants who have their Aadhaar card, EPIC and other necessary details.
- The applications should be genuine and must satisfy the District Magistrate/ Commissioner as it will be approved by them.
Details to be filled and Important Documents in App
In the application form, applicants need to fill all the details as asked and upload the relevant documents. Check what all details and documents they are required to provide at the time of application given below-
- Personal details of the applicants like, name, father’s name, mobile number, gender,
- Address details- Present address in other state, permanent address in West Bengal
- Adhaar/Kadhyasathi no or EPIC/Ration card details
- Bank Details- name of the bank, IFSC code,
- Mobile Number
- Details of local contact person like- Name, number, relationship with the person in West Bengal
Applicants are required to have following documents with them at the time of registration-
- Photograph/Selfie of the application
- Bank Accounts
- Copy of any of the following id proof- Aadhaar/ EPIC/Voter ID/
Applicants, not having any of the aforementioned documents should not apply, as their applications will not be approved by the concerned authority.
Processing and Approval of Applications
- The application submitted on the mobile application will be received by the District Magistrate/ Commissioner of KMC.

- After verification of the genuineness of the eligibility of the applicant, DM will approve the application.
- After receiving the approval of DM, the disaster Management Department will generate the payment mandate to the bank account of the beneficiary.
- Finally, payment will be made and beneficiary will receive an automatic SMS on their registered number.

How to Register on West Bengal SNEHER PARAS App?
As all the people are advised to stay inside, they cannot submit a physical application form to avail the benefit, West Bengal government had launched a mobile application. Using this application, eligible workers can apply online without visiting an office physically. Now, if you are wondering what is the application process and how to get the application, you do not have to worry.

- Visit the official portal
You have to start by opening the official website the government of West Bengal i.e. https://wb.gov.in/. If you wish, you can directly install the application from Play Store.
- Application Link
On the homepage of the portal, search for SNEHER PARAS application link and click on the “Download” link.
- Install the application
Once you have downloaded the application on your mobile phone, you have to install it.
- Choose the preferred language
After installing the application, to proceed further, you have to choose the preferred language.
- Enter the mobile No.
Now, you have to enter your mobile number and verify it by the OTP generated.
- Read Instructions
Now, read all the instructions and click on “Apply Now” tab.
- Choose Verification Mode
- Fill Personal details
The registration form will appear. You have to fill your personal information, resident information and click on “Save & Proceed”.
- Bank Details
On this page you have to fill your Bank details. You have to select among NEFT or UPI option and have to provide details accordingly. After filling details properly, hit “Save & Proceed”.
- Submit Verification Details
Now, fill the voter details and upload the verification document as per your preference in the space provided and proceed further. Make sure that document is clear and visible.
- Review & Submit
Now, the complete application form will appear, check all the details filled and make correction is necessary. After review submit the application. Verify the submission and your application will be finally submitted. The concerned authority will inform you about the assistance so keep checking the app and inbox for updates.
