Documents to be Carried to the Exam Center
Exam will be conducted on various locations of the country depending upon the number of candidates. Information about the allotted exam centre will be mentioned on the admit card.
Candidates must reach the allotted exam centre well on time along with all the required documents. They are required to bring following documents to the exam center on the day of exam-
- A printed copy of the admit card
- Any of the following photo identity proof- Aadhaar card, Voter Id, PAN card, Passport, etc.

SSB Head Constable Examination Pattern
The admit card will be an entry pass to exam hall and to write the exam. Candidates can check the exam pattern of the written exam given below-
Exam will consist of two papers viz. Paper I and Paper II
Paper- I
- It will be common for all the posts.
- Type of questions- Objective multiple choice type
- Total duration- 2 hours
- Total questions- 100
- Total marks- 100
- It will be of qualifying nature

Questions will be based on General knowledge, General Reasoning, Numerical Ability, quantitative aptitude, General Hindi/ General English.
Paper II
For SI (Nurse female) and ASI (Pharmacist, OT Technician, Dental Technician and Radiographer)
- Paper Type- Technical Written Examination
- Type of questions- objective type questions.
- Total questions- 100
- Duration- 2 hours
For ASI (Steno) and Head Constable (Ministerial)
- Paper Type- Descriptive examination
- Total questions- 100
- Duration- 2 hours
ASI (Steno) and HC (Ministerial) candidates who will qualify both paper I and paper II will also have to appear for skill test as prescribed as for this post.
After the declaration of result, shortlisted candidates will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME). A separate admit card will be issued to all these candidates for DME.
