In order to pass the exam, learners who have taken the exam are required to secure the minimum passing marks fixed as the Open School. TOSS intermediate learners have to secure a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate (Theory Plus Practical- as applicable). Candidates not securing passing marks in any of the five subjects will be declared failed and no passing certificate will be issued to them.

Learners who have taken the exams, can download their results from the official portal of TOSS from the notified dates onwards. They can take help from the simple instructions shared below to view their result-

Candidates should note that the information printed on the online result sheet is only for the purpose of information and should not be treated as an original statement of marks.

Recounting of Marks  

After the publication of the result, there are lots of learners who are not satisfied with their marks and result. For such candidates, TOSS has a provision of the Recounting of marks. It means learners who are not happy with their marks are provided an opportunity to apply for recounting of marks.

As per the applications, TOSS will recount the marks of the candidates and inform the applicants. In case of any changes (increase in the marks) in the result, a fresh mark sheet will be issued to the candidates.          

Candidates can submit their applications for recounting of marks as per the instructions provided by the board. This procedure is completed within 30 working days (after release of results). They are required to make payment of Rs.200/- as the application fee. Along with the filled-in application they have to submit Xerox Copy of the hall ticket, marks memo/net copy and Rs.200/- application fee for the subject to be paid at MEE SEVA Centres.

Re-verification of Answer Script

Apart from the recounting of marks, Telangana Open School also provides learners an opportunity for re-verification of the answer scripts. The application is same as for Re-counting of marks. Applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs.600/- per subject.

Issue of Marksheet and Certificates

Once the result will be published, TOSS will issue original statement of marks, passing certificate and other relevant certificates to the learners. Certificates will be issued only to those learners who will secure passing marks each of the 5 subjects they have chosen.   

Pass Certificate will be issued to the learners only for 5 subjects. However, the mark sheet or marks memo will be issued for additional Sixth subject to candidates.



The net copy of the result is only for information purpose and candidates are advised not to consider it has the original mark sheet. The original mark sheet is delivered separately after the release of the result.  

About TS TOSS

Telangana Open School Society (TOSS) is a government body in Telangana that caters to the education needs of the students of the state. It basically provides school education to the students of the states up to pre-degree level through the mode of Open and Distance Learning (ODL).     

TOSS provides admissions to learners mainly in SCC and Intermediate. The open school conducts the Public Examinations twice a year in the months of April/May and October/ November.  

The admission is valid for five years from the date of registration and learners are offered nine examination chances in five years to pass the exam. Candidates appear for their first exam only after completion of the first academic year of their admission.
