UPPCL launched this scheme to sort out the repeated complains of the customers who face issues in getting a new connection. This scheme is for APL and BPL families. The best part of the scheme is that you can apply for the new connection online. BPL consumers can fill the online application form and apply it to get a new connection by making payment of Rs. 10. The fee for the APL consumers is Rs. 100 for getting new electricity connections from UPPCL. The new consumers can get a connection of 1 KW to 25 KW supply.

The complete procedure of giving the new connection to the new consumers is quick and fast. The application for new connections will be sent to the engineers immediately after paying the fee. - First of all, the applicant will have to visit the official website of UPPCL; http://upenergy.in
- On the homepage of the website, you will find a section named Connection Services.
- Here on the drop-down menu, you will have to click on Apply for New Electricity Connection (Jhatpat Connection). Here is the direct link to land on the page to apply for the connection; http://apps.uppcl.org/jhatpatconn/frmLogin.aspx
- A page will appear on your screen where you will be asked to put your login id and password.
- If you don’t have a login id and password then click on the New Registration button given on the same page.
- For registration you will have to enter following details in a registration form;
- Name
- Date of birth
- E-mail ID
- Mobile Number
- After entering all the details click on the Register button is given on the page.
- All your details will get verified first and you will get a login id and password. Now logged in on the page and apply for a connection at your home.
