UPPSC Block Education Officer Examination/Selection Pattern Including Syllabus 2020

The selection process for the UPPSC BEO Examination 2020 includes two-phase of examination which are-:

  • Preliminary Examination.
  • Mains Examination.

Preliminary Examination

The selection for the post of Block Education Officer will follow a preliminary examination. Candidates have to clear the examination to be shortlisted for the mains. The examination for the preliminary phase includes the paper of General Studies (Objective) which will have 120 questions. The total marks for the examination are 300 and the time duration is of 2 hours.

*Candidate must note that there is a provision of negative marking in both examinations.

The candidates shortlisted from the preliminary examination will appear for the mains examination. To get selected for the post of the Block Education Officer the candidate has to secure the position in the merit list. The paper for the mains examination includes General studies, General Hindi, and Essay of 3-3 hours and 200-200 marks. The total marks for the mains examination will be 400. Yes for both examination which follows-:  There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
