West Bengal ITI Merit List 2019 for both the groups (E and M) for admission in session starting from August 2019 was scheduled to be published on 2nd July 2019. Merit list for both E & M group has been displayed online. Merit list of both the groups has been displayed separately.
Candidates can check the merit list from the official website. Council has not issued any printed result. They can also get the merit list pdf on this page once it will be available on the official website. Merit is prepared on the basis of entrance exam for group M and on the basis of marks in Madhyamik for group E. After the display of merit list, shortlisted candidates will be able to register for counseling and choice filling.

West Bengal ITI 2019 Merit List
West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development, has conducted a Common Entrance Test on 1st June 2019 for admission of suitable candidates to ITI programs in the state. Now the examinees and all the registered candidates are waiting for the result.

The wait for result for both the groups i.e. E and M will over today. Group E include 5 engineering trades in which admission is done on the basis of class 8th result through an entrance test. On the other hand, Group M include around 46 engineering and non-engineering trades in the which admission is granted on the basis of class 10th qualification.
The merit list will be final and therefore no correspondence regarding same will be entertained.
Preparation of merit list-
The criteria of preparation of merit list for both the programs is different.
Merit list for Group M trades is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in Madhyamik (class 10th) or equivalent. No exam was conducted for this group.
Merit list for Group E trades is prepared on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET).
The percentage of marks obtained in Madhyamik is calculated as per given formula-
Tie Breaking-
In case of tie between the marks of two more candidates in Madhyamik or equivalent following rule will be used to determine the merit of the candidates in theorder of priority shared below-
- Marks obtained in Mathematics
- Marks obtained in Science
- Date of birth of the candidates. Older candidate will be preferred.

Particulars on WB ITI merit list
ITI merit list will basically indicate the names of the candidates shortlisted for participating in counseling process along with other information. The list of all the particulars which are expected to be reflected in the merit list are as follows-

Post Merit Display Activities
After the release of merit list, registration for counseling and choice filling will be started. Only those candidates will be eligible to register whose name will appear in the merit list.
The registration and choice filling process will start from 2nd July and ends on 8th July. On the basis of choices filled, seat allotment result for phase one will be released. candidates who will be allotted seats are required to report at the allotted college for document verification and admission.
